A modern European feel translates to crisp, clean sophistication at this evening soirée in California’s premier playground, Palm Springs.  Fragrant gardenia centerpieces added a rich softness.  The lush arrangements were creatively arranged so as not to block guests’ views.

The Grand Ball was intended to carry guests back to a gentler time, where plush design, soft music and subtle candlelight set an untroubled tone.  Pictured here is the party entrance, where muslin and organza backdrops and overhead draping produced a dreamlike runway ambiance.  

Here’s a close-up of a Todd King custom-designed, always-individual napkin ring.  These signature pieces always add terrific drama to table settings and always elicit comments of amazement from guests.  King designed this masterpiece with an eye toward the formality of the occasion and also the passionate Sonoran influence in this southwest region.
